An estimate only: mutual fund returns are not guaranteed and go up and down with the market, so a steady yearly return is an assumption, not a prediction. Figures are before tax and fund expenses.

How is SIP value calculated?
A SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) invests a fixed amount every month, and each instalment grows for the months left until the end. Assuming a steady yearly return, the value is:
FV = P × ((1 + i)n − 1) ÷ i × (1 + i)
- P — the monthly investment
- i — the monthly rate, i.e. the expected yearly return ÷ 12 ÷ 100
- n — the number of monthly instalments
With a step-up, the monthly amount rises at the start of each new year and the calculator adds up every instalment month by month. Starting early matters more than the amount: the longer each instalment compounds, the larger the share of returns in the final value.
