Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you might want to know before — or after — you register.
Getting Started
A secure place to store digital copies of your ID cards and other
important documents — Aadhaar, PAN, certificates, invoices,
warranty cards, property documents, medical records, legal case
documents, price lists and more —
so they're always reachable from your phone or computer, protected
behind your own login.
A secure online space for keeping digital copies of your important
documents — ID cards, certificates, bills, property papers
— in one place, protected behind your own login, instead of
scattered across phone galleries, email attachments and paper
folders. IDBANKQR.COM is a digital document vault built for Indian
documents like Aadhaar and PAN.
Yes. The Student plan is ₹299/year for anyone
registering at age 25 or younger and stores up to 20 documents
— marksheets, certificates, college ID, Aadhaar, PAN and
admission papers — ready whenever an application or
verification needs them.
Yes. The Family plan (₹599/year) stores up to
50 documents, enough for a household's Aadhaar, PAN, certificates,
insurance and property papers in one account. Per-member QR codes
and a family dashboard are on our roadmap and not available yet;
today the Family plan works as a single account with the larger
document limit and temporary QR sharing.
Business Starter, Business Pro and Enterprise plans are available on
request through
Contact Us
rather than self-service checkout — see the
Pricing page for
details. The multi-user organisation features (separate employee
logins, company branding, reports) are still under development, so
get in touch and we'll let you know where things stand.
Six plans: Trial at ₹11 for 30 days (the
cheapest way to see if it's for you), Evolution at
₹49 for 90 days (a low-cost way to try things out for longer),
Student at ₹299/year (for registrants aged 25
or younger, checked against your date of birth before payment),
Personal at ₹49/month or ₹499/year,
Family at ₹599/year, and Premium
at ₹999/year. Each plan includes a different document limit
(5/10/20/25/50/150) and feature set — see the full
Pricing page for
a side-by-side comparison. Business plans are also available on
request. Payment is handled securely through Razorpay —
cards, UPI, netbanking or wallets — on the plan & payment
step of registration.
Anyone registering at age 25 or younger, based on the date of birth
you enter on the Register form. This is checked before payment opens
— if you're older than 25, you'll see a message asking you to
choose a different plan instead. It's an eligibility check at
registration only, not something re-verified later.
Adding a new document is blocked once you're at your plan's limit,
with a message telling you to upgrade. Your existing documents stay
exactly where they are — nothing is deleted or hidden. The
same happens if your plan lapses: you'll need to renew before adding
anything new, though everything already stored remains safe and
accessible. You can upgrade to a higher plan at any time from
Upgrade Plan
— it takes effect immediately, though downgrading isn't offered.
Yes. Every payment is independently verified against Razorpay before
your account is created — nothing is taken on trust from your
browser. If verification ever fails, you'll see a clear message and
your card or UPI account won't be charged again for the same attempt.
Your Documents
JPG, PNG and PDF, up to 2 MB. If a photo is larger than that, it's
compressed automatically rather than rejected — most phone
camera photos just work without you needing to do anything.
Log in, go to Add New ID,
choose "Aadhaar Card" as the document name, then upload a JPG, PNG or
PDF of your card — or tap "Take Photo" to capture it with your
camera. The AI-assisted scan can fill in the Aadhaar number
automatically; check it before saving. The file is encrypted at rest
and only reachable through your login.
Yes. Add it from Add New ID by uploading a scan or photo, or capturing
it with your camera. The AI-assisted scan can pick up the PAN number,
and the card is stored encrypted, visible only to you unless you
choose to share it by QR code.
Yes — educational certificates, marksheets, birth, caste, income
and experience certificates and more. Upload a PDF or image, or
photograph each page with your camera; multi-page documents can be
scanned into a single PDF.
Yes. On the Add New ID (and Edit) screen, tap "Take Photo" to open
your camera and capture the document directly — no scanner
needed. The photo goes through the same validation as any uploaded file.
On Add New ID specifically, taking a photo or choosing an image also
triggers an AI-assisted scan that tries to fill in fields like document
number, issue date and expiry date automatically — always worth
double-checking what it fills in before saving.
Yes — update the details, or replace the file itself by
re-uploading or re-capturing a photo, from the Edit screen on My
Documents. You don't need to delete and start over.
Yes. Click the printer icon next to any document on My Documents to
print it on a clean page. You can also share a document by QR code
with View + Print access so someone else can print it without you
sending them a copy.
Click “QR Code” next to the document on your Dashboard or
My Documents, choose what the other person may do (view, download or
print) and how long the access lasts (a single view, 10 minutes,
1 hour or 24 hours), then let them scan the QR code or send the link
straight to them with Share on WhatsApp. You can also
add a “Shared with” watermark or a “Confidential”
stamp. They don't need an account, and the access ends on its own
— or sooner, if you cancel it from My Shared Links.
Generate a QR code for the document from your Dashboard or My
Documents, and choose what the person scanning it can do —
View only, View + Download, View + Print, or Download only —
and how long it works: a single scan, 10 minutes, 1 hour or 24
hours. The other person just scans it with their phone camera, no
account needed, and the code stops working on its own once it's
used up.
Yes. Open My Shared Links from the menu under your
name (or from the Dashboard), find the link and press
Cancel — it stops working immediately, and you
can also cancel all running links at once. The page also shows who
each link was shared with, whether it is still active, and how many
times it has been opened. Cancelling cannot take back a copy that
someone has already saved or screenshotted.
Yes. On My Shared Links, “Who opened it”
lists every opening of a link with its date and time, whether the
document was viewed or downloaded, the kind of device (for example
Chrome on Android) and its IP address. The people you share with do
not log in, so a link cannot tell you their name — adding a
“Shared with” name when you create the link is how you
record who it was meant for.
Yes. If a document has an Expiry Date saved with it, we email you
30 days, 7 days and 1 day before that date, with all your expiring
documents listed in one message. Reminders are on by default; you
can turn them off or on from Edit Profile.
Yes. Shops, restaurants, clinics and service businesses can keep their price list or menu card in the vault
— ideally each version with the date it took effect — for a clear record of what was charged when,
and an up-to-date copy always on their phone. Legal case documents like petitions, court orders and notices
fit just as well.
Account & Security
Passwords are hashed, never stored or logged in plain text. Every
document request is checked server-side to confirm you own it —
a user can never reach another user's file by editing a link. Files
are stored outside any publicly reachable web path, and their
contents are encrypted at rest — so even direct access to the
underlying storage doesn't expose readable documents without the
application's own encryption keys.
Yes. Documents are encrypted at rest and stored outside any public
web path, passwords are hashed, and with Extended Authentication Security
on, every login is confirmed with an emailed one-time code. Each document request is checked server-side
against your account, shared QR codes expire automatically, and
every login, view, print, download and share is recorded in your
Activity Log.
It's a quick way back into your account — scanning or clicking
it opens the login page with your mobile number already filled in. It
never contains your password, so scanning it alone can't sign anyone
in without also knowing your password. This is separate from the
10-minute document-sharing QR codes described above.
A QR code that holds your own contact details — name, mobile
number, profession, email and address — taken from
My Profile.
It is included in every plan except Trial. Logged in, open
My Contact QR
from the Tools links at the bottom of any page. When someone scans it
with their phone camera, their phone offers to save you as a new
contact with the details already filled in; they tap once to confirm,
because no phone adds a contact without asking. It comes as a tabletop
standee headed IDBANKQR.COM that you can download or print, or you can
send the same details as a contact file (.vcf). It
contains the details themselves rather than a link, so anyone who
scans it can read them, and a copy you printed earlier keeps the old
details if you change your profile.
Use "Forgot Password?" on the Login page. You'll verify your identity
with your mobile number, email and date of birth (all three must match
the same account), then set a new password directly — no email
link to wait for.
You can get a login alert by SMS, and by WhatsApp on supported
devices, every time your account is signed into. You'll also get an
email with the date & time, IP address and approximate location
of that login, with a link to
raise a complaint
straight from the email if it wasn't you. Your full account activity
— every login, upload, view, print, download and share —
is also logged and filterable on your Activity Log page.
That's a one-time password (OTP), asked for only when Extended
Authentication Security is on in your profile (with it off, you log
in with your password alone) — after your password is
checked, we email a 5-digit code to your registered address, and
you enter it on the next screen to finish logging in. It's valid
for 5 minutes and allows up to 5 attempts before you need to log in
again. If you've already copied the code from your email, tap the
"Paste" button on that screen to fill it in and continue
automatically. Didn't get one, or it expired? Just log in again to
have a fresh code emailed to you.
An optional setting you can turn on from Register or
Edit Profile.
With it on, your email must be verified with a one-time code when you
register, every login asks for a code emailed to you after your
password, and any time you
change your email address later from Edit Profile, you'll need to
verify the new address with a fresh code before it's saved. It's off by
default, and you can switch it on or off anytime from Edit Profile.
Yes. Pick a language from the language
menu at the top of any page — Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada,
Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odia or Assamese, plus 20 world languages such as Spanish, Arabic, French, German and Chinese (the languages of the country you are in are listed first).
Members can also choose a Preferred Language for Dashboard
when registering, or later in
My Profile;
the Dashboard, My Documents, My Shared Links and Activity Log then
open in that language after every login, on any device. Translation
is done by Google Translate, so wording may not be exact, and the
on-screen text of the page is sent to Google to be translated —
document numbers, file names and the files themselves are left out.
Choose English to switch it off.
Yes. Tap the moon icon on
either registration step, your Dashboard or My Documents to switch
to the dark theme, and the sun icon
to switch back. The choice is shared across all of these pages and
remembered on that device.
Visitors is a running count of visitors to
IDBANKQR.COM. Each browser is counted once a day, on the first page it
opens, and search-engine crawlers and link-preview fetchers are left
out. It is a rough footfall figure, not exact analytics: one person
using two devices is counted twice. Online is how many
people have been on the site in the last few minutes, whether logged
in or just browsing; search-engine crawlers are left out here too. Both
show only a total — nothing about who the people are.
Other members and visitors cannot. The Home page shows only how many
people are online at the moment, logged in or not, never who. Our own team can see which members
are logged in and active in the last few minutes, along with the kind
of device and IP address — the same details your
Activity Log
already records. We use it to choose quiet times for maintenance and
to spot unusual activity. You drop off that list as soon as you log
out, and it is not kept as a history.
Using the Site on Mobile
Yes. IDBANKQR.COM works in any modern phone browser on Android or
iPhone — log in to view, add, share or download your documents
on the go, and capture new ones straight from your camera.
Yes — visit the
Add to Home Screen
page (linked in the footer) for a QR code to open the site on your
phone, options to send yourself the link, and step-by-step
instructions for both Android and iPhone.
No — IDBANKQR.COM works entirely through your phone's browser.
Adding it to your home screen (see above) gives you an app-like icon
and full-screen experience without needing to install anything from
an app store.
No. There's nothing to download or install — everything works
in your phone or computer's web browser. If you'd like quick one-tap
access, add the site to your home screen from the
Add to Home Screen page.
Digital Partner Program
The IDBANKQR Digital Partner Program — Connect. Earn. Grow. — lets individuals and small
businesses help people in their area start using IDBANKQR.COM, and earn a commission on every
member who joins through them. See the
Digital Partner Benefits page for the full details and rules.
20% on every new yearly membership (Student, Personal Yearly, Family, Premium), 10%
on monthly memberships, and 10% whenever a member you referred renews a paid plan.
There's no commission on the Trial and Evolution plans. Commission is calculated on the plan amount the
member actually pays, and is paid to the bank account in your application. Commission earned in a month is paid by the 10th of the following month, once ₹1,000 or more is due; a smaller amount carries forward to the next month.
The primary condition is an active annual IDBANKQR membership (Student, Personal Yearly,
Family or Premium) and a good understanding of IDBANKQR's features and functionality. Then, logged in to
your member account, fill in the Digital Partner application
with your personal details, PAN and Aadhaar, bank account and a photo. You'll get a reference number
straight away; our team then verifies your details. Your Aadhaar and bank account numbers are stored
encrypted.
From Digital Partner Login, enter the mobile number
or email you applied with and we'll email you a 5-digit code — there's no password. This is separate
from the member login. Your Partner Dashboard shows your application status at every stage.
Once your application is approved, your Partner Dashboard shows your personal referral QR code, with buttons
to download a printable “Scan me to Join with IDBANKQR Members Community” poster, download the
QR code on its own, or copy your registration link. Every member who registers through it appears in the
list on your dashboard.
No — plan prices are exactly the same. The partner is simply credited for helping you join, and only
sees your name, plan, join date and a masked version of your email. They never see your documents or
any other account details.
